A bit about the day and couple <3
Q: How did you meet? Tell us about the proposal.

A: Brian and I met while we were working at the same company.  It didn't take long to discover our mutual love of exercise, cooking, and the outdoors. We dated for two years before Brian proposed while we were cooking dinner together.

Q: Let's talk fashion. How did you both choose your wedding day look? Describe the looks in detail.

A: Dress shopping was so fun. I went to at least 4 different bridal shops with my mom and sister. I have to say, there are a lot of beautiful dresses out there! In the end, I chose one that felt the most like me--it's Wtoo from a&bé (https://aandbebridalshop.com/minneapolis/). My gown was vintage-inspired with a modern twist. It features capped sleeves, a high neckline, and an open back. Best of all, I didn't have to alter it! It fit like a glove out of the box, which inspired me to nickname it the "Cinderella Dress."

Q: Let's talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?

A: I chose a venue with natural beauty so I wouldn't have to decorate at all! (http://www.arboretum.umn.edu/) I'm a minimalist who loves the beauty of plants.

Q: What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?

A: It was all very exciting! I loved running around the arboretum before our ceremony with our photographer Jen Montgomery and her fiancé Alex (http://www.jenmontgomeryphotography.com/). We had a great time taking photos all over the venue. I could have spent another 3 hours on that photoshoot!

Q: What were the florals like in your wedding? Did you use flowers in any of your design elements like the bridal bouquets, centerpieces or ceremony backdrop? Did they play an important part in the overall style of your wedding?

A: I loved my flowers! I was blown away by the bouquet provided by Fleur de Lis (https://www.fleurfresh.com/). We decided on a "Wild and Lush" bouquet featuring peonies and Juliet roses. It was gorgeous. I'm thrilled with how it turned out.

Q: Tell us about your wedding! What was the inspiration behind your day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?

A: My inspiration was the Junglow meets art deco (https://www.instagram.com/thejungalow/). I wanted my wedding to be filled with lush greenery and clean lines. My colors were green, blush pink, and ivory.

Q: Did you personalize the day in any way (food trucks, guest entertainment etc.)? What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?

A: We had our reception in the Nord Room at the French Meadow (https://www.frenchmeadowcafe.com/catering). The space was beautiful and the food was fantastic. Even with last minute changes, the staff worked hard so I didn't have to stress out about organizing the dinner and could just enjoy.

Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you'd like to share with other couples planning their day?

A: Being able to delegate the stress of flowers, hair, photos, food, etc., to someone you trust is essential to a successful wedding, so choose vendors you connect with and like. I interviewed several photographers before choosing Jen, and I'm so glad I did! She was amazing to work with, and I couldn't be happier about the results!
