The Blue Lagoon, in Iceland. One of the most beautiful pools I have ever been in. Gorgeous shades of blue and white, surrounded by volcanic rock formations. Dreamy <3
A 40 minute drive from the main city of Reykjavik. Often times tourist spots can be overrated, but The Blue Lagoon is a tourist location that you don't want to miss! "The geothermal water originates 2,000 metres below the surface, where freshwater and seawater combine at extreme temperatures. It is then harnessed via drilling holes at a nearby geothermal power plant, Svartsengi, to create electricity and hot water for nearby communities. On its way to the surface, the water picks up silica and minerals, before emerging at a soothing 38°C (100°F). Perfect for a relaxing and re-energising bathe." If you plan on going to Iceland, book your ticket in advance and choose a late night time for more privacy. Cheers!
