Engen Family

Some evenings feel like they were made just for remembering.

The Engen family met me at the Landscape Arboretum as fall was taking its final bow — the last leaves clinging to the trees, the last golden rays slipping over the treetops like a soft farewell.

We spent our time chasing light and laughter, catching warmth wherever it settled: in tiny hands held tight, in sweaters pulled close, in the way parents naturally bend toward their little ones without even noticing.

These boys — full of spark, full of motion — ran beneath blankets, climbed into arms, and soaked in the kind of moments they’ll someday remember only in feeling. The kind that linger in the heart long after the season has changed.

What an honor to witness the Engens exactly as they are — a family stitched together in joy, tenderness, and a whole lot of sunshine.

Edited in my Vintage Velvet style — softened, warmed, and glowing for the gold.
